Registration and refund policy

In-person courses and workshops
CPR and First Aid courses and workshops
  • Refunds may be requested if notice is provided in excess of 48 hours ahead of the workshop/course start time.
  • With notice provided in excess of 24 ahead of the workshop/course start time, we can offer a transfer to a future workshop/course (given there is still space in the workshop/course the transfer is being requested for) upon request.
  • Out of respect for those who waitlist for our workshops/courses,  transfers are not permitted within 24 hours of the workshop/course start time.
  • Any registration for a workshop/course where the attendee does not provide notice is considered forfeited.
Car seat safety and Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) courses and workshops
  • Per the terms agreed upon at time of registration, full refunds are not offered for CPST courses.
  • The deposit amount (50%) is refundable up to 14 days prior to the course start date should you need to cancel. Alternatively, you may provide a replacement participant for your registration at no charge.
  • Deposits can be used as credit for a future CPST training course. Deposits may not be applied to other course levels offered by Safe Beginnings First Aid.
  • Any registration for a course where the attendee does not provide notice is considered forfeited.
Online courses
  • Our online courses are a non-tangible, digital, irrevocable good. As such, we do not issue refunds once the course is taken, studied, accomplished and/or is accessed. Access data is visible to us through our online course platform, Thinkific.
  • As a customer, you are responsible for understanding this upon purchasing any online courses at our sites. However, we realize that exceptional circumstances can take place with regards to the product we supply. Therefore, we do honour requests for refunds for non-delivery of the product due to technical faults where a server issue may have occurred. In this case, we recommend contacting us for assistance.
  • Claims for non-delivery must be submitted in writing to info@safebeginnings.ca within 7 days from the date of course purchase. Otherwise the product will be considered received and downloaded. We reserve the right to rectify the error or defect within 72 hours. If any deficiency is validated and if we fail to correct it within 72 hours from the date of the initial complaint letter or any other notification provided by a customer, any refunds requests attached to the review will be issued to the customer in full without compensation or reimbursements.
Online consultations (video call)
  • Refunds may be requested if notice is provided in excess of 48 hours prior to the scheduled consultation start time.
  • Consultations may be rescheduled upon request with provided written notice within a minimum of 24 hours, or more, in advance of the consultation start time.
  • Out of respect for our instructors and service providers, and those who waitlist for our limited-capacity services, transfers are not permitted within 24 hours of the consultation start time.
  • Non-attendance for a consultation where the customer does not provide notice is not eligible for refund or credit and is considered forfeited.
