Since late 2016, Safe Beginnings First Aid has educated over 7,000 caregivers and professionals with essential lifesaving skills for small children. We are two sisters, raised in North Vancouver, BC. We are passionate advocates for child safety and injury prevention.
Jill is a First Aid Instructor affiliated with the Lifesaving Society BC/Yukon Branch. Her background includes aquatics, childcare, and doula services.
She and her husband are also the owners of Canadian Birth Products Inc. which offers products and education to expecting and new parents as well as birth professionals.
Jill is also an experienced birth doula serving the North Shore, Vancouver, and Burnaby. To learn more, please visit her doula services page.
Doula clients receive a free CPR course and use of all home and water birth supplies (if desired).
When she’s not busy teaching first aid, or attending births as a doula, she loves chasing after her two energetic children, ages 10 and 6.
Holly Choi discovered her passion for teaching and mentoring while training clinicians and their support staff in the medical software field for over 5 years.
Following the birth of her first child in the summer of 2015, Holly certified as a First Aid Instructor with the Lifesaving Society BC/Yukon Branch. Shortly thereafter, Holly became co-owner of Safe Beginnings First Aid. Since late 2016, Safe Beginnings First Aid has educated over 7,000 caregivers and professionals each month with essential lifesaving skills for small children.
With a keen interest in child safety, Holly certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) in October 2015 with the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC). Since certification, Holly volunteers weekly in her community; helping caregivers gain confidence with their car seat installation and usage (More information is available here: www.saferseats.ca/faq). Holly successfully certified as a Technician-Instructor (CPST-I) with CPSAC in October 2017.
Holly is a dedicated mom to two daughters, ages 1 and 3.
