Infant insert/cushioning use: The infant Head and Body Supports can only be used Rear-Facing for children weighing less than 20 lb (9 kg).
Other ways the seat can be outgrown (aside from height or weight limits): Top of child's head must be at least 1” (2.5 cm) below the headrest/ harness adjustment handle.
