This course is suitable for:
- emergency services personnel
- nurses, midwives, and doulas
- family support workers
- baby and child retailers
- child care providers
- community volunteers
Students will learn about the various types of restraint systems and stages, how to install various types of car seats, and vehicle restraint laws in Canada.
The training is 2.5 days, including a written exam and a hands-on practical exam (car seat clinic) on the last day. Attendance is mandatory for the entire duration of the course. Nursing, pre-mobile infants are welcome in the classroom portion of the course.
